Getting Ready for Fall

Hard to believe that fall is already upon us...but it is, so you might as well be prepared, right? One of the best ways to do that is by getting regular acupuncture treatments to help boost your immunity and keep you healthy throughout the season. In Chinese medicine, fall is related to the Lung energy and the Lungs are very important in maintaining your wei qi or immune defense so you don't get sick. Fall is also about letting go, either emotionally or physically, and if your Fall energy is out of balance, this may be a difficult time for you. You may find yourself clinging to old habits or relationships or feeling sadder than usual, and physically, for example, you may be experiencing difficulty with digestion this time of year. Whatever imbalance your body may be experiencing now, acupuncture can help get you back on the right track! Many people specifically get acupuncture during the change of the four seasons to help make the transition a little easier. This, in addition to regular maintenance treatments, is one of the best things you can do for yourself to maintain your health and  happiness no matter what the season, I look forward to helping you with that goal!
