Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) has been around for thousands of years, and in addition to acupuncture, includes nutrition, herbal medicine and exercise to treat the body, mind and spirit as a whole. A TCM diagnosis begins with a complete evaluation of your current health condition and past medical history followed by a tongue and pulse diagnosis. All of these are assigned to specific categories (interior/exterior, yin/yang, hot/cold, excess/deficient) resulting in a diagnosis and treatment plan that is specific to your condition. The diagnosis and treatment plan may change as your condition changes and improves. There is no "one size fits all" as you are evaluated each time you come in for the perfect treatment plan for you.
A TCM treatment may include the use of acupuncture, moxibustion, gua sha, cupping, tuina or Chinese herbal medicine.
